Prominent Case Study
An copper mine in Chile needed its own water treatment facility since it's high demand for water led to water shortage at a nearby remote community.
Okiana has designed, manufactured and installed an energy conserving, 100% available, water treatment facility running a 4-stage water treatment process and capable of suppling 3600 m3 of desalinated sea water per day at 50% recovery operation.
The solution includes:
- 3 Ultrafiltration trains
- Media filtration
- 3 Sea water desalination facilities followed by:
- + Additional RO pass for supplying water with low conductivity (70% of the water)
- + Remineralization process for drinking (30% of the water).
